Finding a home inspector that is highly trained, licensed, insured, has construction experience, and good references is very important for learning the most about your future home. A home inspector should also answer all of the client’s questions clearly so that you completely understand the answer. Home inspectors should not be in a rush and make sure the client is comfortable with everything discussed. Home inspectors should also be available to answer questions after the home inspection is complete if they arise. Also, make sure their are no potential conflicts of interest between the inspector and the other parties involved in the sale of the home. Buying a home may be a stressful experience, but making sure you know everything possible before the purchase is important for relieving anxiety and building confidence in one of the largest purchases of your life. The original article in the Digital Journal speaks to some of these issues, you can find the original article here.
